- I love a lot of things like: traveling, photography, history and other cultures, camping, and writing poetry.
Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I enjoy developing relationships and helping students. And although I do that on a daily basis with my classroom children, it is more difficult because I don't have much one-on-one time with them. I want to tutor because I would like to expand my experience beyond my current grade-level expertise, and I would like to have a chance to help a variety of students.
Why should a student pick you?
- I am someone who understands what it feels like to struggle with a subject. Now I realize we are all intelligent in different ways, and that's okay. What's most important is that we figure out what you need to do, and then make a plan to work on whatever you're struggling with. Learning doesn't have to be hard and it should be rewarding. Once we figure out what works for you that is something you can use for the rest of your life when it's time to learn things.
Personal Statement:
- I believe that anyone can learn anything with a bit of work. Don't write off a subject as something you're just not good at. Everyone struggles from time to time. The truth is, traditional classrooms don't work for some people. Every person is intelligent in their own way. I love helping people figure out how they learn so they can succeed. Believe in what you can do and trust me to help you.
