Why do you want to be a tutor?
- Tutoring is exhilarating for me. I find my interaction with students to be stimulating and rewarding. I am more creative in my other pursuits by teaching.
Why should a student pick you?
- I recognize that fear of receiving a bad grade often motivates a person to seek a tutor. It is easier, of course for a student to learn when he or she is interested in the subject. I believe that I can present a subject in a way that engages the students curiosity. With my assistance, a student can become more comfortable and confident studying something that was once intimidating and frustrating.
Personal Statement:
- I recently completed my Ph. D. in Political Science. Much of my dissertation is about the process of learning. As I progressed through my studies, I realized that I have a passion for teaching. I tutor out of the satisfaction that comes with leading students to new knowledge.
